Ethel Cullinan’s extraordinary career has taken her from the Human Resources Division of the Library of Congress in Washington, D. C. to an analyst for the Organization of American States, to the college classroom as a professor of Political Science; from the world of healthcare philanthropy, to the executive management arena.
As a Senior Vice President of Central Georgia Health System, the parent company of Carlyle Place, Dr. Cullinan assumed a leading role in the development of our community from conception to its earliest days as the first Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central Georgia. As President and CEO she has served as the leader of Carlyle Place since 1996 and in 2005, she also assumed the dual role, as the community’s on- site Executive Director.
With years of executive experience in healthcare, and as a certified Retirement Housing Professional, she is ideally suited for visionary strategic planning, as well as, implementing policy and administering daily operations. In addition to holding her Ph. D. in Latin American Politics, she is a fellow of The American College of Healthcare Executives and The Association of Healthcare Philanthropy.
Dr. Cullinan especially enjoys the warm relationship she shares with the Residents and her staff which is exemplified in a “Team” approach to life and living at Carlyle Place.
Alan Jordan

Alan is a native of Byron, Georgia and has more than 22 years of CFO/controller experience with both non-profit and for-profit industries. He joined Carlyle Place during the community’s initial development phase in 2001, and since then has served as the community’s Controller.
In 2007, he was promoted to Associate Executive Director. Alan is available to answer any questions and to provide financial expertise concerning daily operations.
Debra K. Morgan

Debra joined the Carlyle Place community in August 2006, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in Long Term Care. She is a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators where she received her professional certification in 1997. As a licensed administrator, Debra’s duties include oversight of the daily operations of Carlyle Place’s Assisted Living Center, the Memory Care Center, the Wellness Clinic, and the Skilled Nursing Center. Debra currently serves on the Carlyle Place Safety and Security Committee, the Health and Wellness Committee and is the chairperson of the Health Maintenance Committee and the Quality Assurance Committee.
Mark Johnston
Director of Facility Services

Mark is a native of Macon with more than 19 years of experience in facility support services in the Health Care industry. Since joining the Carlyle Place community in 2007, he has served as the staff liaison on the Buildings and Grounds, Safety and Security and the Go Green Committee. He is a member of the National Fire Protection Association and the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors. He was also a volunteer for Hospice and was selected Volunteer of the year in 2002. Mark currently oversees maintenance, in house security, housekeeping, and landscaping. He is also responsible for the implementation of safety programs throughout the community.
Mary Golden

Mary holds a master's degree in Family Service Management and has more than ten years of experience in Resident Housing Service Management. She served as an adjunct professor of psychology at Mercer University's Tift College School of Education. She also was a volunteer with the Bibb County Senior Citizens Center for 5 years and has been instrumental in developing community outreach opportunities for Carlyle Place Residents. Mary contributes much to the lives of residents by managing the fitness and wellness programs, social events, transportation services, and salon and massage therapy services. She is always available to assist residents and serves as a liaison between residents and the staff at Carlyle Place. Mary also serves as a staff liaison on the Resident Advisory Council, Programming Committee, Library Committee, Health and Wellness Committee, Welcoming Committee, and was instrumental in forming the Interfaith and Go Green Committees and serves on those committees as well. She is a member of the Health Maintenance Committee and Quality Assurance Committee. Mary is an active member of the Gerontological Society of America and the National Association of Activity Professionals.
Kimberly McGinnis

Kimberly holds a master’s degree in Family Studies and began her marketing career at Carlyle Place in 1998, during the pre-construction sales phase. She is recognized as a Certified Marketing Professional within the Long Term Care Housing Industry. In addition, she is a Board Member with the Georgia Institute on Aging, the educational arm of the Georgia Association of the Homes and Services for the Aging. Kimberly is also a Charter Member of the Uptown Rotary Club and serves as the chairperson for the Public Relations Committee. She also serves on the Carlyle Place Welcoming Committee, Health Maintenance Committee and Quality Assurance Committee. Her credentials, her industry experience and her positive attitude are clear assets when assisting prospective residents and their families in the decision-making process.
Cheryl Weatherly

Cheryl is a Macon native and former business owner. She joined the Carlyle Place community during its pre-opening phase, and has served in her current position since 2001. Cheryl is a Board Member for the Middle Georgia SHRM Chapter and serves as a staff liaison for the Carlyle Place Advisory Council of Employees. Cheryl is a consummate professional and brings years of employee relations and training experience to the Carlyle Place community. Among many other tasks, she has been instrumental in developing and implementing employee programs and services.
